NVIDIA has posted a list of routers that are recommended for PC streaming compatibility.  Check the list to see if you’re router is part of the list for best performance.

Shield shipping on July 31st!

Good news, it looks as though the a Shield will be shipping out soon to those that pre-ordered through NVIDIA.

According to NVIDIA’s Facebook page, the shield should be shipping to reach those that pre-ordered by July 31st.

Shield release date July 25th?

According to the Game Stop website, it looks like the Shield release date has been changed from the 31st to the 25th of July.  Hopefully NVIDIA will release a statement confirming this as the release date soon.

Nyko Shield accessories E3 2013 gallery

Nyko will be releasing 3 accessories for the Shield in the upcoming months, 2 of which are cases.  These might be a good alternative to the official NVIDIA released hard case for those interested in protecting their expensive investment.

It also looks looks like Nyko will be releasing a dock accessory as well which could be great for connecting the Shield to a TV for a more console like experience.

Conduit HD off-screen gameplay footage

I’m personally excited to get my hands on this game to see how the Shield physical controls feel with a first person shooter.  NVIDIA posted some gameplay video a while back demonstrating the game, controls and enhancements to the Conduit HD.  Check out the video below

CNET Asia hands-on with the Shield

CNET Asia posted a good hands on with the device stating  and it sounds like the Tegra 4 allows for some great performance.  The only downsides seem to stem from the weight of the unit and the size when carrying it on the go.

Dead Trigger 2 on the Shield

Androidcentral posted a great video of Dead Trigger 2 running on the Nvidia Shield.  I’m eagerly awaiting a chance to play this zombie-infested shooter on my Shield when it’s released.  For now, check out the video below and visit the androidcentral article below for more game details.

Nvidia Shield Battery life?

According to the interview with James Wang from NVIDIA, it sounds as though battery life for the Shield will be around:

  • 4-5 hours for Android games
  • ~10 hours for PC Streaming
